Stamford is one of the many cities that recognizes that resources expended to cleanup litter, illegal dumping, marine debris and environmental pollution could be better spent on other critical services. The speed with which Stamford’s population is growing also lends urgency to the need for ongoing environmental education efforts and prevent environmental pollution of all types and all levels.
